my girl...

she's four now!

she makes us laugh all the time
she loves to play pretend
she is still just a little girl, but wants to be big so badly.
she's a free spirit
she loves to be outside
she loves our animals
she is a bruiser
she is tough and determined
she happily stomps everywhere she goes
she is FOUR! have i said that already? i just can't believe it.

we love you so much brenna. you are such a special girl and we are so glad God made you part of our family. He has great plans for you my funny girl. I'm sure He will use your talent to make people laugh for His good in the future. I can't wait to watch and see that happen.

lynnsey and aaron...18 days

the big day is soon approaching! November 5th, 2011.... sweet lynnsey, the lady that helped me get through a really tough summer right before Jori was born is GETTING MARRIED in just a few short weeks.
lynnsey and aaron were in town to go over some wedding details and i was able to catch them for a little while and take some photos.
lynnsey is SO beautiful, inside and out. she will be a most stunning bride.

kara and baby girl

alright, so i have this friend, she is really beautiful, really artsy, about ready to have a baby girl, but a little shy like me. i knew being in front of the camera wouldn't really be her thing but i was dying to photograph her. so i asked her on a whim if she would be interested. i promised it would be relaxed and we would have fun. and that is EXACTLY what happened.

we had a great time. she brought a bunch of fun clothes and accessories and i got to play dress up with her. we headed over to a property that dave bought to turn into his new warehouse and office. there is a great old barn there and the building is great for taking pictures around too.
see what i mean.. beautiful! she was so easy to photograph.

in about 4 weeks baby boy will be here. this will be E's and L's first baby. what an exciting time for a new family to be! i was honored when E asked me if i would take some maternity photos for them since they are from out of town. they were only going to be here for a short time to celebrate baby boy and have a shower with family and friends. their time here was short but i was glad they spent some of it with me.

greeneville is great! where else to do you find an awesome barn right behind the Sonic. the sun was just starting to set so we got to use some really wonderful sunlight too.

zachary is TWO

do you remember this handsome little guy? i took zachary's pictures when he was just a year old and now he is a big two year old. he was pretty shy with me again but just as cute as can be. you can see his one year old photos here.
i met zachary and his momma at their house. i love taking photos at a place that has meaning to the family. there is so much more to remember than just a cute portrait with a grayed out background. i loved the steps and railing leading up to their front door, the fall leaves in the yard and how he looked playing in the front yard. his mommy told me that grandma and grandpa live in the same neighborhood and they take walks together often. i hope when they look at these pictures they will think of all those lovely things.




zachary has a pretty cool swing set and lots of fun toys in the backyard so we played back there for a little while too.
he is very proud of his "cycle".

baby summer

meet summer. this sweet little thing is just 4 weeks old and as precious as can be. sure makes me miss having a newborn around. i just LOVE them.

summers momma, jessica, was our first babysitter besides family members. in fact garrets diaper was the first one she ever changed, and now she is changing her own little baby diapers. a few years ago jessica even rented our garage apartment. the kids loved having her come over and watch them and we enjoyed having her around too. seeing her now as a mommy, i have proud feelings :) she is doing such a great job taking care of and loving on little summer.
